DANCE WORKSHOP

This workshop is designed to build dance skills in preparation for the upcoming auditions of our production of Legally Blonde. Students will be taught common dance terminology, get tips for quick choreography pickup at dance calls, and learn musical theatre dance combinations to put said skills into practice. The dance combination will be different in each class to provide participants with as much practice as possible.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing they can easily move in. Dance shoes are highly encouraged, as street shoes are not allowed on the dance floor, but they may dance barefoot if wearing dance shoes is not possible. 

​

Students may sign up for one, two, or all three classes.

$30 per class or $85 for all three.

ACTING WORKSHOP

12:30-2:30 pm each day.

This acting workshop is for anyone looking to strengthen their audition cut and/or monologue. Each student will receive 15 minutes of individual coaching on the material of their choice in a masterclass setting. Students will also take away useful skills and tips by watching other students' coaching sessions. Emily's focus is on finding understanding, authenticity, and an emotional connection to the material with each student. Students may bring the same material or different material, depending on what they want to work on, but those attending all three classes might find that working on their audition cut the first week, their monologue the second week, and both the third week achieve the strongest growth.

 

Students should bring instrumental tracks and an aux cable dongle for their phone and are expected to warm up their voices before the class. Emily will not be critiquing any student's vocal technique, however.

Students may sign up for one, two, or all three sessions.

$30 per class or $85 for all three.

If signing up for both the dancing and acting workshops, the cost is $60 per day/both classes or $170 for all three days/6 total classes.
