Auditions
City Theatre holds auditions year-round for youth productions. Auditions are announced on this page as they become available, so check back frequently if you'd like to see yourself on one of our stages. We pride ourselves on diverse casting and will never discriminate against race, gender, sexual identity, or religion. We highly encourage actors of all levels of experience to audition, from those pursuing a career as a performer and those who are brand new to the world of theatre and want to perform onstage for the first time.

Audition Requirements:
- Prepare a Musical Theatre song in the style of the show or from the show (at least 1 min in length)
- Please bring sheet music with the appropriate cuts for our pianist.
Tips & Tricks:
-Dress nicely to stand out!
-When choosing a song, find something that showcases the best qualities of your own voice. It's less about imitating the character you want and more about showing your own personal strengths as a singer.
-Treat your song like a monologue. Focus on storytelling when you are performing.
-When preparing a song, find something that has a good 'shape' or multiple 'levels' - different emotions, dynamics, etc...
-Introduce yourself (slate) before you start. Say your name, the title of what you'll be performing, and what it's from.
-Bring a headshot & resume to your audition.
